Video Production

2006/2007
Amazonas Mia
A video installation on the Amazon universe experienced from two contrasting perspesctives : the Pre-Hispainc and the Post-Colonial. Sponsored by the Mairie de Paris, the Association OCEA, the Colombian Ambassy in France and the Ministry of Culture of Colombia, Caracol TV and Arte. The installation
is currently at the Hotel de Ville de Paris at the exhibit "Latitudes: Terres d'Amazonie".

2005/2006
Terra Incognita: A Journey to an unknown land (A work in progress)
A video installation on the cross-Atlantic slavery trade. Received the "Quality Label Award" fromUNESCO's International Fund for the Promotion of Culture.

Directed and edited a video about the Club's Mentorship Program "Let's Pierce the Sky" (5 min.)

Directed a video documentary on a Junior Earth Team (J.E.T.) - Project sponsored by the Joyce Foundation

1998-2000
"Mazamorreo: In search of Memory "
2007-Project received the support of the Slave Route Project at UNESCO(Production USA/Colombia) Produced and directed first independent documentary on the Afro-Colombian traditions and oral memories on the Pacific Lowlands of Colombia. (55 min. / shot on MINIDV / edited on AVID)
The documentary is now available at UNESCO's e-platform and is distributed by National Film Network.

1999
In relation with the documentary, promoted Grupo Bahia in their first visit from Colombia to Chicago.
The group played at the Hot House, the Old Town School of Folk Music Roots & Folk Music Festival among other venues. (Promotion related to the documentary)

The P.E.A.C.H. Club/Gallery 312, Chicago, IL, USA - (a non-for-profit arts organization in the Chicago area)
Produced and directed the program's promotional piece. Partially funded by the C.A.A.P. (6 min.)

1995-1997
Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, Video Assistant
Conducted interviews to survivors of the Holocaust in the Chicago area.

In charge of writing and preparing grants for this non-for-profit organization. Responsible for meeting all renewal grant deadlines and applying to other matching grants agencies and foundations in the Chicago area.

1997-1999, New Business Development, Atomic Imaging, Inc.
Established relationships with clients, developed Web design, multimedia interfaces, interactive brochures and computer based training (C.B.T.) proposals. Directed from start to finish the Website production for Colombian-based company, Compensar.

1995-1997, Intern, Gold'n'Group Productions, Inc. and Hammer & Pixel
Digitized, did off-line editing, and program transfer to tapes. I also assisted in production and color retouching projects.
