Short Description: Grupo Naidy is one of the most authentic Afro-Colombian groups from the Pacific Lowlands of Colombia. The group's director, Irlando "Maky" López, strives to preserve the Currulao tradition with the goal to diffuse and promote local music. He has recently been produced by the Smithsonian Folkways Recordings in an outstanding cd where Colombian rhythms such as "Vamos a adorar a Antonio", "Mi gallo corocó" are masterfully interpreted.
