Vidéo 1 : Songe/Sueño/Dream (10'/color)
Three mythological figures are treated in this video: « La Madreselva» (The Mother Forest/ Protector of Nature against deforestation) ; «Yara», aquatic goddess represented by the anaconda; She represents the Amazon river itself. The Tukanos veleive that the rivers are like serpents and essentially feminnie. Lastly, the «Mohán» who is the god of water. In the Amazons, he is associated with the Pink Dauphin who is supposed to seduce the young girls who play in th rivers' shores and take them with him to his underwater kingdom.

Vidéo2 Deuil/Duelo/Mourning (10' color): Inspired by a dream that Arturo Coba, the main character of "la Vorágine", has while his adventure during the latex industry, I created a performance representing the feeling ofinsanity of being lost in a tropical forest. The video ends with a symbolic burial of those many persons, among thousands of Native Americans, who died in the Amazons since the period called la Conquista.
Sound: Two videos are screened simultaneously with one single audio track. The sound editing is done as a separate element and completes both video works. The sound becomes the unifying element of the installation bounding together two opposing worlds : the Pre and the Post Hispanics'. The images were filmed on October 2006 in Colombia.
